Christ Church is at the very heart of Long Hanborough. The services are contemporary and accessible. The service style is more modern and it has a resident band to lead the sung worship.
Christ Church congregation are extremely friendly with a passion for the word of God and with a focus on family inclusion.
Christ Church is at the heart of our children and youth work with regular Sunday groups of all ages.
History
Christ Church was designed by E.H.L. Barker and was built in 1893 on the north side of the main road that runs through Long Hanborough (now known as the A4095).
Until the late 18th century, St Peter & St Paul in Church Hanborough was the only place of worship. By the 1890s it was realised that Long Hanborough needed a worship centre of its own. So, to deal with this, the resident rector had a "mission church" commissioned, and so Christ Church came into existence at the heart of the village.
